Aunt Lori's Book 2

I've already done a post on Aunt Lori's book, but I wanted to add the link to this article. It is in today's Deseret News Mormon Times. It gives a little more background on the Author and her project that became "Beloved Emma".

I love Emma.

I've always been so frustrated to hear some of those comments within the church about how she went crazy or was apostate or whatever - that Joseph would have to make good on his promise to go to hell for her. That stuff drives me crazy.

She was such an amazing woman ... I'm definitely going to have to read this - especially since it's illustrated by my all-time favorite Mormon artist!

I echo your frustrations. She was an incredible woman. She went through more than I would ever want to, and I think she endured it well. Too many pass judgment. The fact of the matter is that she never denied her testimony and never fought against the church. I haven't gotten to the end of the book yet, but am looking forward to the insight into the decision to stay in Nauvoo.

The illustrations are amazing.
